Today will mark the opening of an entertainment trifecta: bowling, movies and dining, at the Delray Beach Marketplace, the Sun Sentinel reported. The anticipated IMAX theater will premiere as part of the 70,000-square-foot Frank Theatres CineBowl & Grille, on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.
“It’s a one-stop shop,” Bruce Frank, president and CEO of Frank Entertainment Companies, told the Sun Sentinel. “We had to treat it like a supermarket; had to have everything you want to satisfy your entertainment needs.”
But experts say that the rare complex that brings different forms of entertainment together rarely succeeds.
“There’s no synergy,” Ken Leonard, of Leonard Associates, a Chicago-based consultant specializing in shopping centers, told the Sun Sentinel. [Sun Sentinel] –Guelda Voien
