After DACRA demolished several blocks of the Design District two months ago to bring luxury retail to the area, work had stopped. But now it appears the project is finally moving forward, Curbed reported.

The Craig Robins-led developer is planning to bring  as many as 50 luxury brands to the Design District with new shopping centers. And, as The Real Deal previously reported, Robins is is also considering adding residential and hospitality components to the project.

Robins is also developing a three-story mixed-use building at 1000 17th Street, according to Curbed. That 18,000-square-foot glass structure, which will reportedly be called 1000 Building, was designed by Arquitectonica and will include retail on the lower floors and a restaurant on the roof.
