The Miami office of Sperry Van Ness is spearheading a nationwide commercial real estate auction services program.

Sperry is shifting from the traditional real estate auction model by having local advisors in cities throughout the U.S. through its SVN Auction Services, GlobeSt. reported. The typical approach is to have individual auctioneers cover a large geographic area and serve a deep pool of clients, according to the company.

“SVN Auction Services understands that all real estate is local, and that it’s crucial to bring the basic fundamentals back to commercial real estate and put the clients’ interest first – and that’s what we’re doing,” SVN Auction executive managing director Jerry Anderson told GlobeSt.

As part of the expansion, Sperry is looking to hire numerous auction professionals to cover specific markets. The current team includes advisors in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and South regions. SVN Auction can leverage the parent company’s staff of more than 800 commercial real estate advisors nationwide to move transactions along quickly. [GlobeSt]Eric Kalis
