Former National Hockey League star Alexander Mogilny sold a Bal Harbour penthouse to a company managed by a wealthy Latvian businessman for $6 million, The Real Deal has learned.

Mogilny and his wife Natalia closed the sale of Unit 2202 at the Bellini condo building on May 12, according to Miami-Dade County records. The county recorded the sale on Tuesday. The couple paid $5.7 million for the five-bedroom, 5,896-square-foot unit in June 2006.

The Russian-born Mogilny played for four teams over a 17-year NHL career. He also played for the Soviet Union squad during the late 1980s.
