The 194,000-square-foot campus was originally constructed on 37 acres in 1991. Oxbridge Academy began operating at the site in 2011, according to its website. It is governed by the Florida Council of Independent Schools (or FCIS).

Koch, the billionaire energy mogul who owns property in Palm Beach, cited a desire to have a South Florida private school available to students from all income levels when creating Oxbridge Academy. — Eric Kalis
