Ex-treasurer arrested for allegedly stealing from condo group

A former condominium president and treasurer was arrested on Thursday for allegedly embezzling more than $22,500 in association funds to pay for a long distance affair.

Alan Kaplan, 82, was reported to the police by the members of The Norwich K Condominium Association after an audit of the association’s bank accounts. Kaplan was charged with grand theft. He was released from Palm Beach County Jail on Friday after posting $5,000 bail.
