The Fort Lauderdale Health & Rehabilitation Center changed hands for $15.7 million.

Two New York companies purchased the 2000 East Commercial Boulevard facility and two parking lots in a transaction recorded on Friday, according to Broward County records. They did not obtain financing for the acquisition.

The seller is Fort Lauderdale Health and Rehabilitation Center Inc. The company paid $6 million for the four properties in March 2001.

Built between 1964 and 1971, the 169-bed facility offers a variety of patient services, including traditional nursing, hospice and Alzheimer’s care, according to its website. — Eric Kalis
