Tumi heading to Miami Beach’s Lincoln Road

Tumi has signed a lease to open its first shop on Miami Beach’s Lincoln Road, according to Terranova Corp., which brokered the deal.

The travel lifestyle brand signed a three-year lease for 1,176 square feet at 832 Lincoln Road, and expects to open in the fall. The store will be located between Fossil and Aesop.

Terranova Executive Vice President Mindy McIlroy represented the landlord in the lease.

In South Florida, Tumi already operates stores at Aventura Mall, Dadeland Mall and Town Center at Boca Raton, according to its website.

Tumi was founded by Charlie Clifford in 1975, and was originally an importer of leather goods. Today, the company said it holds more than 325 design and utility patents relating to its products and as component features, and continues to expand its collections.

In addition to travel pieces, the Lincoln Road store will also carry an assortment of its collections, such as leather goods, tech protection cases, handbags, travel accessories, and replacement parts for damaged products. — Ina Cordle
