Colliers launched its urban core division earlier this year with Mika Mattingly and Gerard Yetming. The group is neighborhood-drive, so it works with retail, office, hospitality and other uses together. Figari said the two-story corner retail building at 137 North Miami Avenue in downtown Miami, for example, will be converted to a bar called the Manhattan.

Acqualina Resort & Spa and the Estates at Acqualina named Alexandra Wensley as its vice president of communications. Wensley has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and public relations, and previously handled communications for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami.

Turnberry Associates hired Monica Gorban as a sales executive for Turnberry Ocean Club Residences, a luxury condo tower that just broke ground in Sunny Isles Beach. Gorban, who has more than 20 years of industry experience, has worked for projects like Jade Ocean Miami and the Mansions at Acqualina.

R. Steven Holt and David Adelstein joined Katz Barron Squitero Faust as partners in the law firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. They both specialize in construction law.

Commercial real estate firm Tiktin Real Estate Investment Services brought on Cliff Weisner as a senior associate of investment sales. He focuses on shopping centers and single-tenant net leased properties in Florida, as well as office buildings throughout the southeastern part of the state.
