The University of Miami named Wexford Science + Technology as the builder for a 200,000-square-foot research and development building at the north end of its planned Life Science Park, intended to spur biotech development in the region. The whole project is planned for a 7.2-acre site near Jackson Memorial Hospital and the UM medical school, between Northwest 17th and 20th streets and between Seventh Avenue and Interstate 95 in Miami. Phase one will cost about $80 million, the university said.
