Florida has received $11.5 million in foreclosure assistance funds
through the Housing and Economic Recovery Act, which Congress approved
in July. Governor Charlie Crist said in a statement that the grant
money will go toward foreclosure prevention counseling and legal

agencies and organizations in Florida. The state previously received
about $1.3 million toward foreclosure prevention in March.
