Billionaire philanthropist Sidney Kimmel is selling his Palm Beach mansion with an asking price of $81.5 million. Kimmel built the 18,000-square-foot waterfront house, designed by architect Thierry W. Despont, after demolishing a house that previously sat there. He paid $5.5 million for the property in 1993. An open house last week for the estate, at 1236 Ocean Boulevard, was so exclusive that only 25 buyers’ brokers were invited.
