City Council approves taller buildings

The Boca Raton City Council
Wednesday approved a new construction standard that allows some city buildings
to be 140 feet tall, or 160 feet with decorative elements. The buildings
affected are those between Glades Road and Camino Real. The previous
maximum height was 100 feet. The rule will allow for staggered rooftops rather than
the boxy building designs residents have protested.
