Wynwood project up for auction

The site of the proposed Wynwood Foreign Trade Zone, an importing and commercial hub for the district west of South Beach, will be auctioned off in January. The the nonprofit group behind the trade zone, the Wynwood Community Economic Development Corp., has spent years in bankruptcy. The 142,000 square-foot warehouse and 11,000 square-foot site has already received a $5 million offer from a New Jersey holding company called M Management, which will likely be accepted unless it is outbid before Jan. 14.
