Miami broker: Pat Riley owes me millions for Fort Myers sale

The Forum at Fort Myers is on the site of Riley’s 700-acre purchase

Miami real estate broker Randy Hill has filed a lawsuit against Miami Heat team
president Pat Riley, alleging that he never received the millions he
was owed for engineering the sale of a 700-acre property in Fort Myers
to Riley, which the championship-winning coach turned into a development
called the Forum at Fort Myers. Hill claims to have made a handshake
deal with Riley at a Coconut Grove steakhouse in 1998 that should have secured him a percentage of the property sales. Riley’s initial $12.5 million investment in the Forum at Fort Myers has since yielded more than $50 million in sales, according to court documents. [Miami Herald]
