Homeowners fight foreclosures with fraud suit

Dennis and Joyce Brown were fighting a foreclosure suit by CitiMortgage;
after a few months of legal battles, the couple hired an attorney to
fight the foreclosure. Now, the Browns are alleging that CitiMortgage
fabricated documents to foreclose their home after the bank failed to
credit them for mortgage payments. CitiMortgage and its attorney, David
Stern Law Offices, withdrew the case against the Browns, but now another
lawyer representing the bank has sent them foreclosure letters. The
alleged foreclosure fraud of Stern and other firms are being investigated
by the state Attorney General’s office. Kenneth Trent, who is
representing the Browns, has filed a suit against Stern’s firm in
