The deal between the Related Group, Tate Capital Real Estate Solutions
and ROK Acquisitions for the purchase
of the note on the Omni Center has been confirmed. The joint
venture between the three firms paid $100 million for the senior
promissory note secured by the property, which includes the Omni Center
and the Hilton Miami Downtown. Lender Capmark Bank was represented by
Jones Lang LaSalle’s Jubeen Vaghefi, Denny St. Romain and Gregory
Rumpel. “This is a key transaction in Miami, particularly given the new
developments that have just been approved in the surrounding area,
including a 35-story, $78 million Sonesta Mikado hotel,” Vaghefi said in
