It’s possibly the greatest story ever told and potentially movie material, said John Oliver, a comedic reporter for Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show,” — the Florida couple and their rookie lawyer that foreclosed on a Bank of America branch (see video above). The dispute between the Nyergers and BofA began when the bank filed foreclosure papers against their home despite the fact that the couple didn’t even have a mortgage and had paid for their property in cash. A Collier County Judge agreed and ordered BofA to pay the legal fees of the homeowners, which it never did. The next logical step was to foreclose on the bank, the couple’s lawyer said.
