Ping-pong bars hit South Florida

The new trend of ping-pong clubs has hit South Florida, with new
locations opening up in Boca Raton and Miami Beach. Palm Beach
restaurant owners Burt and Robin Rapoport opened SLAM Table Tennis Club
at Boca Raton’s Cinemark 20 Palace, and South Beach is set to receive
its first ping-pong spot, Chalk, by the end of the summer. “Ping-pong is
the new craze,” said Sayra Moto, managing partner of Chalk. Moto said
she went to the SPIN club in New York City backed by actress Susan
Sarandon, and kept coming back. “We realized there was nothing like that
down here and so we started planning.” [Sun
