Elliman heads to Mediterranean area to look for South Florida buyers

In striving to find buyers for South Florida real estate, Douglas Elliman Florida is looking beyond the typical local, national, or South American fields. Instead, the Miami-based firm will send four agents overseas this month to Rome, Monaco and Tel-Aviv. At one event in Monte Carlo, agents will be stationed at the Monaco Yacht Show later this month to show off South Florida waterfront properties. As The Real Deal has been reporting, foreign buyers are flocking to South Florida, cash in hand, for what they see as a safe place to invest their money. Favorable exchange rates also factor in to the proliferation of foreign buyers. [Sun Sentinel]
