Drake puts two Marquis Miami units on the market

A year after buying two units in the Marquis Miami condominium, rapper Drake has put them on the market at $600,000 premium, TMZ reported.

The units, which appear in his music video for the song “I’m on One,” are a 3,800-square-foot three-bedroom apartment for which he’s asking $1.9 million and a 1,675 one-bedroom spread for which he wants $600,000. Drake combined the two units, TMZ said, but is leaving options open for buyers who want them separately. Matching TMZ’s information with MLS data shows the units, 4905 and 4906, officially hit the market Jan. 10.

Drake bought the condos in January 2011 for $1.903 million. As The Real Deal reported earlier today, the Marquis, at 1100 Biscayne Boulevard, recieved a “highly commended” award from the International Property Awards in the high-rise development category.

Early last year, the condo began an extensive marketing campaign that appears to have paid off, as the 292-unit building was 70 percent sold by August, thanks largely to Brazilian buyers. [TMZ]
