U.S. Sugar buys $150 million tract in western portion of Palm Beach County

U.S. Sugar has paid $150 million for another cane company’s land tract in western Palm Beach County, according to Palm Beach County court records, the Palm Beach Post reported. The deal comes two years after U.S. Sugar sold almost 27,000 acres of land to the South Florida Water Management District for $197 million. The size of the deal was not yet clear, but Duda, the owner of the land, has more than 14,000 acres of property in the region. [Palm Beach Post]
