Activists protest fast foreclosure bill

Homeowner activists began a protest today of a proposed bill that would quicken the foreclosure process in Florida, the Palm Beach Post reported. About 20 people protested outside Florida Sen. Chris Smith’s office in West Palm Beach against the bill, which could be voted on by the Senate this week. “This is an ineffective solution that doesn’t address what is happening on the ground floor,” said Lisa Epstein, a resident of West Palm Beach. The bill passed the House by a 94 to 17 vote last week. [Palm Beach Post]
