Next week, Fort Lauderdale-based MMD Realty will head to Toronto to push South Florida real estate. According to the Sun Sentinel, MMD principal Michelle Farber Ross will hold seminars addressing prices, second homes and the lack of inventory. MMD held a similar workshop last year and told the Sun Sentinel that it later closed several deals as a result.

Canadians are the largest foreign buyers percentage-wise in Florida as a whole. And in the past Ross has said that 90 percent of her current clientele is Canadian.

“The time is right for Canadians to purchase properties in South Florida: the dollar is strong, the properties are well-priced and the rental market is strong, if the Canadian buyers choose to rent out their properties,” Ross said in a statement. [Sun Sentinel] —Christopher Cameron
