The waterfront Pompano Beach mansion auctioned off by former Miami Heat sharpshooter Mike Miller is back on the market one year later, The Real Deal has learned.

A Spot in the Sand, the company that won the 2308 Bay Drive home with a $3.4 million bid in the November 2012, is asking for nearly $7 million, according to the listing agent. Miller, a two-time NBA champion with the Heat who currently plays for the Memphis Grizzlies, paid $5.4 million for the mansion in September 2010.

“We just put it on the market this week,” Premier Estate Properties broker Kevin Kreutzfeld said. Premier specializes in luxury Broward County properties priced at $1 million and higher.

Kreutzfeld has begun fielding calls from prospective buyers and is finalizing marketing materials for the mansion. He said both local residents and out-of-market buyers looking for a second-home are interested.

Sergio Gabriel Selcer of Coral Springs is identified in state corporate records as the manager of A Spot in the Sand. Kreutzfeld declined comment on the seller.

The three-story, 12,000-square-foot mansion has six bedrooms and seven-and-a-half bathrooms. Other features in the nine-year-old home include a cigar and wine room, resort-style swimming pool and elevator. The 9,000-square-foot property includes dockage for multiple boats.

Located in the Hillsboro Shores enclave of Pompano Beach, the property has views of both the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean.

“What makes it really demanding is the Hillsboro Inlet,” Kreutzfeld said. The home “is a stone’s throw from the Hillsboro Mile, a prestigious row of ocean to Intracoastal estates where homes go for $30 million and more.”

Miller joined the Heat shortly after LeBron James announced his signing with the team in July 2010. He battled injuries throughout his three-season run in Miami but hit several key shots during the Heat’s back-to-back championship runs. The Heat released Miller under the league’s amnesty clause in July.
