Macy’s and its sister department-store chain Bloomingdale’s, the incoming flagship tenants at the Mall at Miami Worldcenter, announced plans today for the stores, which will be 195,000 square feet and 120,000 square feet respectively. The retailers signed leases last month, as first reported by The Real Deal

They will anchor three levels — and total 750,000 square feet — of retail when the mall opens in 2016. The project site is located between the Brickell CityCentre development under construction in Miami’s financial district and Midtown Miami.

CityCentre developer Swire Properties has formed a partnership with the Whitman family, which built and owns the Bal Harbour Shops, for the retail component of that $1.1 billion project.
