The wife of former Miami Dolphins star Jason Taylor purchased a Plantation home for more than $1.3 million, The Real Deal has learned.

Katina Taylor bought the five-bedroom, 4,500-square-foot residence in the city’s Hawks Landing community last week, according to Broward County records. The county recorded the transaction Tuesday. No financing was recorded.

Jason Taylor’s name was not on the deed but Katina identified herself as married in the document. The 2006 National Football League’s Defensive Player of the Year owns a mansion in nearby Weston. Katina filed for divorce in 2006 before withdrawing the petition.

Howard and Yolanda Dreitzer sold the 730 Baldwin Palm Avenue home to Katina, who is the sister of former Dolphins linebacker Zach Thomas. They paid about $1.2 million for the property in January 2010. The six-bathroom house was constructed in 2007.

Barbara Shapiro of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate was the listing agent. Katina was represented by United Realty Group.
