A retail center in the Cypress Creek section of Fort Lauderdale changed hands for $11 million.

Boca Raton-based 6300 Uptown Centre acquired the 100,000-square-foot center at 6300 North Andrews Avenue, according to Wednesday’s written statement from Sky Beach Realty, which represented the buying company. The seller, 6300 Investments of Fort Lauderdale, finished construction of Uptown Centre last year.

Tenants at the fully leased building, which has 19,000 square feet of leasable space, include the LeBron James-backed Blaze Pizza, Chipotle, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Saladworks.

Sky Beach Realty broker-owner Howard Berkowitz represented the buyer. Fort Lauderdale attorney Craig Mandell represented the seller.

“Uptown Centre’s new construction and potential for long-term income stream from existing credit tenants make this a very attractive opportunity, especially given the high barriers to entry in adding new retail in the Cypress Creek area,” Berkowitz said. — Eric Kalis
