Miami building known for Coppertone sign changes hands

The Miami building known for its iconic Coppertone sign changed hands for $5.05 million, The Real Deal has learned.

Hye Realty of Miami sold the 21,454-square-foot building at 7300 Biscayne Boulevard and two vacant parcels totaling more than 22,000 square feet on Wednesday, according to Chariff Realty Group, which arranged the all-cash transaction. Miami-Dade County has not recorded the deal. Hye paid $4 million for the properties in July 2005, according to county records.

The buyer is 7300 Biscayne Investors LLC. State corporate records identify Greenstreet Management of Miami as the company’s manager.

Chariff Realty will handle all future leasing at the building for the new owner. The company’s Lyle Chariff and Mauricio Zapata arranged the deal.
