The Kaskades Suites, an extension to the Gale South Beach hotel, will feature a host of alterations when it opens Dec. 1.

The 25-suite addition is located at 300 17th Street in Miami Beach, just steps away from the 89-room Gale hotel at 1690 Collins Avenue. Jared Galbut, managing principal of Menin Hospitality, which owns the hotel, said the new extension responds to guests’ request for bigger rooms and meeting space.

There’s 1,000 square feet of meeting and event space and the larger guest rooms will feature living rooms, private balconies and larger bathrooms, which will offer bathtubs. Suites on the bottom floor will have Japanese soaking tubs on the balconies. “Tubs are making a comeback,” Galbut told the publication.

The multimillion-dollar restoration added two levels to a structure built in 1953, which created the event space and a 3,400-square-foot rooftop terrace and pool area. [South Florida Business Journal] – Jennifer White Karp
