Seminole Hard Rock beefs up with new $12M restaurant

The Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood is pouring $12 million into Kuro, a Japanese restaurant that will start serving in January and target Asian gamblers.

Executive chef Alex Becker, who has worked at renowned Asian restaurants Nobu and SBE’s Katsuya, will run the new high-end eatery, according to southflorida.com.

“We’re definitely looking to bring in a lot of players from Macau and Singapore,” Justin Wyborn, vice president of food and beverage at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, told the site.

The hotel and casino offers also offers high-end dining at its Council Oak restaurant. Wyborn said the average per-person check will be $90, compared to $98 at Council Oak. [southflorida.com]  – Jennifer White Karp
