$30M pegasus statue rises at Hallandale Beach’s Gulfstream Park

A battle between the mythological Greek pegasus and a dragon is being waged at Gulfstream Park and Casino with a $30 million price tag.

Weighing in at 473 tons, the bronze and steel pegasus statue stands victorious over its nemesis, a 242-ton dragon. Pegasus is the centerpiece of Pegasus Park, which is under construction and will feature a waterfall and extensive landscaping, according to published reports.
