The Coconut Grove home of celebrity dermatologist Dr. Fredric Brandt has sold for $2.9 million, months after Brandt’s death.

Brandt, also a researcher, lecturer and author, was known for his clientele, including Madonna, Donna Karen, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and more. He committed suicide in the garage of his Coconut Grove home in April, according to the New York Times.

Brandt’s estate sold the three-story townhouse to a family from Argentina, listing agents Fabian Garcia Diaz and Allan Kleer of Fortune International Realty told The Real Deal. County records show the buyers are Juan Carlos and Maria F. Boyadjian of Aventura.

The property, at 3521 Bayshore Villas Drive, was listed about a month and a half ago for $3.35 million. It has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and one half-bath. The sale closed on Tuesday, Kleer said.

Brandt paid $712,800 for the 5,015-square-foot home in 1990, according to Miami-Dade County records. Jeffrey Thrasher recently redesigned the townhouse, which was built that year and sits on a nearly 6,000-square-foot lot. It includes an elevator, contemporary staircase and custom lighting and sound designed to showcase Brandt’s extensive art collection.
