Celebrity chef Allen Susser is teaming up with a trio of real estate developers to launch a new national restaurant chain called Burger Bar, with the first location slated for Palm Beach Gardens next month. The eatery currently serves “gastropub” food along with a full bar and specialty adult milkshakes from its loan location in Terminal 4 of the Fort Lauderdale Airport.

The expansion will be made possible by Tom Prakas — who specializes in placing restaurants in appropriate locations and has worked with local eateries such as DeVito’s South Beach, Vic & Angelo’s and BurgerFi — and developers George and Lee Heaton of the Heaton Companies. The expansion will start in South Florida and continue across the U.S.

The next location will open in Donald Ross Village in Palm Beach Gardens. – Adam Fusfeld [more]
