The Miami Skills Center which presently sits at 29 NW 13th Street

Plans for the Miami Entertainment Center, meant to lure major film projects to the area, have been laid out now that the Omni Community Redevelopment Agency has selected a design consultant.

Miami Today reported that California-based Bastien & Associates beat out several local firms to design the film studio at 29 NW 13th Street, in part because of its experience working with Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. Entertainment and Universal Studios. [more]
