Financial solutions firm Bankers Health Group purchased three office buildings in Davie for $3.5 million — 46 percent off their foreclosed mortgage, the South Florida Business Journal reported.

The 39,298-square-foot space at Diamond III Office Park in the Broward County town has been vacant since the buildings were finished in 2008. EverBank seized the buildings last year after foreclosing on a $6.5 million mortgage originated by the now-defunct Bank of Florida — Southeast, the publication said. [more]

Brenner Real Estate Group has named Barnette Diggs as a new commercial associate, according to Brenner President Scott Brenner. The company, which is based in Fort Lauderdale, also has an office in Melbourne. Diggs will pursue office, industrial and retail transactions for the firm. She had previously served for two years as a sales associate for Galleria International Realty. Woodworking firm Action Restoration has signed a 12,040-square-foot lease at the 3400 Building in Pompano Beach. The industrial property is located at 3400 NW 25th Avenue. Helen Weissman, commercial associate at Brenner Real Estate Group, represented Action Restoration, which is also known as Hardie Boys Group, in the deal. Fort Lauderdale-based commercial brokerage Brenner Real Estate Group signed five deals, including the sales of two commercial buildings, two new leases and one renewal, the firm announced today. [more]

Buyers from the Northeast and Midwest were among the participants at an auction that sold 51 of the 68 available units at the Ocean Dunes Condominiums at Aquarina Golf and Beach Club in Melbourne Beach. The total amount of the beachfront condo sales was $16.3 million, or roughly $240,000 per unit. Scott Brenner, president of Fort Lauderdale-based Brenner Real Estate Group, said the firm worked with Pompano Beach-based Fisher Auction Co. and Melbourne-based Prudential Sterling Properties on an eight-week marketing campaign.
