    Michael Jordan paid $4.8 million for a pair of tracts in golfer Jack Nicklaus’ Bear Club community in Jupiter in 2008, and the home he’s building on the land is nearly ready, according to Realtors Jeff and Cary Lichtenstein. Golfer Tiger Woods is one of Jordan’s fellow residents in Jupiter. The 37,000-square-foot home has 11 bedrooms, a basketball and a gym, according to Lichtenstein. [Jeff Lichtenstein’s Blog]

Jackson purchased the property in 2006 for $3.5 million, ultimately demolishing it and building a new home, now appraised at $6.2 million.     Celebrity spies and Florida real estate watchers have been on red alert since it was first reported last week that Tiger’s ex, Elin Nordegren, was demolishing the $12.2 million North Palm Beach mansion she bought last March. Most recently, she’s donated material from the tear down and planned an identical replacement.

    WPTV reported that the home was officially torn down last week and that Nordegren donated an estimated $300,00 worth of of appliances, furniture and other household items to the Habitat for Humanity of Martin County. [more]

    Tiger Woods’ ex-wife, Elen Nordegren, has demolished the $12.2 million North Palm Beach mansion she bought last March, shortly after finalizing a $100 million divorce settlement with the golfer. According to TMZ, she plans to rebuild a bigger, better house on the plot, at 12520 Seminole Beach Road.

    Earlier reports suggested she would live in the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom, 17,718-square-foot home with the two children she conceived with Woods. But TMZ reported that she hired a high-priced architect to build something new on the plot while she temporary takes up residence in a nearby mansion. [TMZ]

  • Millionaire developer Bob Ward, who once lived in the same tony Orlando neighborhood as Tiger Woods, was convicted Friday of murdering his wife. Ward faces up to life in prison. At the time of the shooting, Ward’s company was in bankruptcy. According to his attorney, Kirk Kirkconnell, he plans to file an appeal and a motion for a new trial. [more]

    Tiger Woods has moved his business operations to Palm Beach County, leasing 10,000 square feet of space at 501 North A1A in Jupiter. “To move his whole business here is a testament to what Palm Beach County represents,” said Ken Kennerly, executive director of the Honda Classic golf tournament. “It’s fantastic.” Woods, who recently finished building his new home on Jupiter Island, is bringing his business from Orlando. “With Tiger’s relocation to the area, it was important for the office to move, too,” said Chris Hubman, CFO of Woods’ company, ETW.     Elin Nordegren, the Swedish former nanny best known as Tiger Woods’ ex-wife, has purchased a $12.2 million beachfront mansion in North Palm Beach’s Seminole Landing enclave. The two-story home, at 12520 Seminole Beach Road, has eight bathrooms and 17,178 square feet, as well as a yearly property tax bill of around $300,000. Nordegren and her two children, who currently reside in Orlando, are slated to move in within the next few weeks. Among Seminole Landing’s other residents: New York Giants legend Tucker Frederickson and coal mogul Christopher Cline, who owns the property next door to Nordegren’s new digs. [Palm Beach Post] [more]
