Brodsky Organization
The Brodsky Organization is a New York City-based, family-run real estate development firm and property manager. Nathan Brodsky founded the firm in 1951, at first buying run-down brownstones and multi-family rental buildings in Greenwich Village, fixing them up, and renting them out. In the ensuing decades, Brodsky Organization has developed 80 buildings, containing 8,000 units, in the Village, Chelsea, the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side, Midtown, and Brooklyn. Its portfolio includes ground-up developments such as Chelsea Enclave, the Concerto at 200 West 60th Street, 75 West End Avenue, and 135 East 79 Street as well as commercial and retail properties. Executives at the firm include Daniel Brodsky, who is the son of founder Nathan Brodsky and who joined the family business in the early 1970s, and Dean Amro, one of Nathan’s grandsons. Two other grandsons, Daniel’s sons, Alexander Brodsky and Thomas Brodsky, also work at the firm. Nathan Brodsky died in 2007. –MK
