CBRE Group, Inc., formerly called CB Richard Ellis Group, is a commercial real estate firm based in Los Angeles, California. Its New York area chief executive, Mary Ann Tighe, is credited with the transformation of Manhattan’s Financial District into the new home of media companies, including magazine publisher Condé Nast. Since 2004, CBRE Group has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), under the ticker symbol CBG. It belongs to the S&P 500 index. CBRE acquired Insignia Financial in 2003 to grow its New York based and Dallas-based Trammell Crow Company in 2006. The group’s divisions provide a portfolio of real estate-related services that include property and project management, office and retail leasing, financing, and consulting. -TA
