RXR is a New York City and tri-state area real estate operating company headquartered in Uniondale, Long Island. It was formed after Reckson Associates Real Estate Corp was sold to SL Green for nearly $6 billion in 2007. At the time, the sale of Reckson was one of the biggest public real estate management buyouts in Real Estate Investment Trust history. The CEO and chairman of RXR is Scott Rechler, who also was the CEO and chairman of Reckson. RXR has more than $6 billion in assets under management. Some of RXRs biggest building purchases include 601 West 26th St. (Starrett Lehigh) for $920 million and 237 Park Ave (Park Ave. Atrium) for $800.1 million. In 2010 RXR acquired 1330 Avenue of the Americas, a 525,825 square foot office building in midtown Manhattan, from well-known developer Harry B. Macklowe. Other RXR Realty assets include 75 Rockefeller Plaza, on which RXR has begun a complete renovation, and 340 Madison Avenue. -WP
