WNYC took a tour of the new Yankee Stadium with Lonn Trost, the Yankees' COO. Trost said the new stadium's capacity is 52,325 people, not counting standing room. The stadium has 12 kitchens, including one kosher kitchen, making it the first sports venue that has one, Trost said. There is also room for more plaques and monuments for historic Yankees players.

I respect it, but the place in Queens is much nicer. Forget the junior circuit over there in the Bx...there will be a miracle happening at Citi Field this year............METS 2009 World Champs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

more likely the mets will miss the playoffs by 1 game again. I flew over the new shea (I mean citi) the other day on an inbound to LGA. It does look sweet. ANy upgrade to that dump of a stadium that used to play in is way overdue.
