Actor buys Chelsea condo

Actor Matthew Modine, who plays a developer in the TV series "Weeds," bought a Chelsea condo for $1.7 million. Modine starred as Private Joker in Stanley Kubrick's film "Full Metal Jacket" 1987. He bought a 1,600-square-foot condo in a converted industrial building. [WSJ]
