As sales slow, brokers play nice

From the August issue: If there is a silver lining to be found in the current slower real estate market, it lies within the brokerage community, which is experiencing a kinder, gentler working environment as of late. Many brokers have noted that interactions with their competitors are noticeably less cutthroat than during the boom times of the past few years. Instead, brokers report they are cooperating far more on co-brokes, returning calls and accommodating each other's schedules. In other words, playing nice.  more

I'm actually finding that brokers are becomming more competitve and ferocious as ever. They are very agitated and testy these days. Not enough money to go around.

Nasty brokes out there and cool ones out there as always and as in anything else. Clean ones out there and dirty ones out there. Most of the time you can tell right away who you are dealing with. Makes all the difference to deal with the good people who see a little beyond just the money and choose to live and work righteously. Which one are you ?

which one makes more money? That's a good question. I think one can be a shark, savvy and shrewd without being nasty and dirty. So if being savvy and shrewd is equated with being nasty and dirty, then dirty makes the money.
