The home to see the biggest price cut today is a penthouse in the St. Urban building at 285 Central Park West, according to Streeteasy.com. The price of the three-bedroom co-op, penthouse N, was cut by $2.65 million dollars, and is now on the market for $7.25 million. The home is listed for 27 percent less than its asking price of $16.5 million when it first hit the market in April 2008. The duplex penthouse has four baths and a two-story greenhouse. Brown Harris Stevens' Lisa Lippman and John McDermott have the listing. TRD

I think they know math. It's a 27% price cut. Proper editing to make sure that the detials are correct is lacking. This is a short article. Not too hard to at least make sure it's accurate.

ALGEBRA WHIZ

#1 is right. it's only a 27% price cut from 9.9 million. it is a 56% price cut from 16.5 million. basic algebra: (new number minus old number) divided by old number and you will arrive at percentage change positive or negative change. see for yourselves. the new york city school system failed some of you! or was it that you didn't want to put the work in?
