Ricky Gervais
Ricky Gervais, the TV writer and star of the British version of "The Office," bought an Upper East Side condo with Jane Fallon, a British TV producer and author.
The couple paid $1.66 million for an apartment at Barbizon 63, a former residential hotel for women at 140 East 63rd Street.
Grace Kelly, Candice Bergen and Liza Minelli all lived at the 1927 building when it was called the Barbizon Hotel for Woman.
Gervais wrote and directed "The Office" and went on to co-write, co-direct and star in "Extras," a production of the BBC and HBO. Gervais, 47, is making a move to the big screen. He will star in a film called "Ghost Town" and directed a movie called "This Side of the Truth."
The 799-square-foot apartment was sold by Gianluca Gargantini, president of Casa Del Bianco, a bed linen retailer, according to city records posted today. TRD

He's not much of a genius if he just paid $1.66 million for less than 800 sq. ft. LOL.
