The Corcoran Group held its annual Manhattan and Brooklyn awards ceremony Tuesday, with Robby Browne, a senior vice president and associate broker, taking top honors as Salesperson of the Year. The event was held at the Nokia Theater in Times Square with guest speakers Real Estate Board of New York Chairwoman Mary Ann Tighe and New York City restaurateur Danny Meyer. Corcoran CEO Pamela Liebman and Executive Vice President of Sales Tresa Hall presented the awards. In addition to Browne, winners included Carrie Chiang, who was named East Side Salesperson of the Year, Sherry Matays, who was recognized as West Side Salesperson of the Year, Fabienne Lecole as Carnegie Hill Salesperson of the Year, and Julie Pham as Chelsea Salesperson of the Year. Lisa Fitzig was named Manhattan Rookie of the Year and Dennis Hughes was rental agent of the year for Manhattan. Leighton Candler received the Deal of the Year award, though as of press time the company remained mum on the deal in question. This week, Corcoran also released its 2009 annual list of the top performing agents on the East End. TRD

They should've had The Real Deal do a video of it.

Looks like it was an award for the UES brokers and not necessarily the Corcoran brokers. I work at Corcoran and just found out about this. It's like being a coach of a sports team and finding out you got fired in the papers.

Tresa Hall still works there? My goodness. Retire already.

If you worked for Corcoran and you weren't there, check your desk, because clearly you don't work for Corcoran.

Tresa Hall is very well alive and still at Corcoran. Who do you think runs the show there?

#2 - you do not work at Corcoran if you "just heard about this" - stop taking up virtual space with nonesense

Hey, Anonymous No. 8: Robert Browne rides his bike everywhere.

Isn't Tresa the one who stole a client list, and was involved in attempting to have an agent lie about a corcoran lawsuit? Why does Pam still have her employed there? Who keeps a liar and a thief at a real estate company?

Congratulations to all the winners - Carrie Chiang is phenomenal!

Whoa, buzz kill #17, be a good POTATOE and go back to your so called 'blog' elsewhere on the site. You're really not welcome here Sa-weetie so try and muster just a little respect, although we already know that would be quite a challenge in your case. Thanks.

#16, are you serious? He rides his bike everywhere even when its 2 degrees out? shoot, maybe that's his secret to success...

Yep, Robbie rides his bike every where. He's an inspiration to us on so many levels. By the way #2, I'm a West Side Broker at Corcoran but in the east Side office because that's where all the "action" is. Very inspiring. You must be one of these people who is never in the office and can't understand why you can't make a living or have any contacts.

@ #25 - Corcoran has tons of fans! Most of us are too busy to sit around all day making nasty comments on blogs!!!

Awesome having Danny Meyer, Mary Ann Tighe, Pam, and Tresa. Thanks for keeping Corcoran on the top! I had a great time and am proud to work for such a great company. I'm a busy broker too so back off Tresa ok? I read your comments on here you little monster. Cut it out because we know who you are. We all do.

What is with the POTATOE stuff? Is this high school? Very cool that the guy that won an award rides a bike to get it- there are some amazing brokers (I'm sure) at Corcoran- they are not on this thread. If links at the top bring readers to stories, be prepared to respond accordingly, or don't respond at all. Toyota is doing well with an apology- might be a good way to counter bad outcomes. In the meantime, good for all of the winners mentioned- they're certainly models of success in real estate.

What hypocrasy: The March 17th 1997 issue of New York Magazine quoted Robby Brown referring to his client Arnold Scaasi as "a garmento, a jew, and gay". Robby was was an Elliman broker at the time, so Corcoran chased after Robby and HIRED him! (Twice, actually - he quit once...). BUT, a Corcoran broker, Sarit Shmueli, said "bull s..t." in the office, so Corcoran fired her for that.

#32, really? Ok- I take back good for the winners until I see the link- but Carrie really seems to be an amazing agent. Not sure about why Sarit was let go- thought it was because of a refusal to lie in court. Either way, she's a hero on a MAJOR scale for all NY real estate agents.

What a bummer, SARIT - the thing that WON"T go away. What good is a SPAM filter? What we REALLY need a SARIT filter, for real. Party killer...

Comment #35 Posted By: Anonymous 02/06/10

Barbara should get an award for selling the company just to get away from Sarit. THAT was smart. Party on Babs!

What a terrific recognition for the very most talented.... it has been a very challenging market and year and anyone on this list deserves credit. I am a big fan of Fabienne LECOLE. She found me my house and has helped friends with their real estate needs: what a terrific, enthusiastic and knowledgeable broker... could not recommend a more dedicated and hard working professional. Go Fabienne Go!!
