Elliman's Lorber on Madoff victim list

Howard Lorber, chairman of Prudential Douglas Elliman, is on the list of Bernard Madoff victims, according to Vanity Fair. Vanity Fair looks at how Madoff's Ponzi scheme has dampened the Hamptons market this summer, as prices dropped and money was flushed from the area. Another victim is Lowell Schulman, a Westchester developer who built the Atlantic Golf Club in Bridgehampton. Schulman's East Hampton home is up for rent. According to Vanity Fair, the Atlantic's membership was hit hard by Madoff, who occasionally drove down from his Montauk house to play golf. "I go through my customer base [and] it's shocking how many of them were Madoff victims," said one Hamptons broker. "A lot of them were members of the Atlantic." [Vanity Fair]

eww is right- the reason that it's now a sport to bash the Hamptons is because people like the above ruined it. Hope they all lose their houses and LEAVE.

could have not happened to a nicer guy he fails to tell people when he was a tax shelter salesman, just like madoff, but luckier howard is the king of other peoples money
