Hedge funder buys at Plaza for $24M

Investment fund executive Martin Sass bought a 6,306-square-foot duplex on the 20th floor of the Plaza Hotel for $24 million.
Sass is the founder and chief executive officer for M.D. Sass, an investment management firm based in Manhattan. The company reports that it manages more than $13 billion in hedge funds, private equity funds and other accounts.
Sass and his wife closed on the sale on for the four-bedroom condominium, which includes a 309-square foot terrace, July 2, according to city records published today. The apartment has views north to Central Park, as well as south and west.
