The Trump Soho, a condo-hotel

Lower Manhattan and Midtown West are each expected to gain at least 20 hotels over the next two years, according to a Manhattan hotel report. The report said that citywide, a total of 10,298 new hotel rooms could flood Manhattan through 2011, including the Mark and the Double Tree Chelsea, which are expected to open in the middle of this year; the Nolitan, which is scheduled to open in 2010; and Trump Soho, expected to open this September. Of the proposed 50 new hotels citywide, 18 are mid-scale, 22 are boutiques and just three are pitched as luxury hotels. TRD

the Trump Soho is a poorly constructed building which already suffers from systemic water leaks building wide. it's very unlikely that it will be successful or even open in september. Trump is feeding suckers BS again.

Trump Soho is cursed. It's clear that it is jinxed, and whoever invests in it will get burned. It's already caused the death of one poor construction worker because it was built so hastily.

Soon I'll be able to stay in a hotel cheaper than renting an apartment.

Outsiders coming in droves to buy foreclosures will need a place to stay.

I would be afraid to stay in Trump Soho. It's too dangerous. Shoddy construction! I predict either another collapse or a high rise fire from faulty wiring.

you can see them air out Trump Soho after every rain. rain leaks into the building and they open the windows to let the moisture out EVERY time it rains.

boutique hotels are ok but monstrosities like trump soho that are more about donald trump and his feelings of inadequacy regarding his "manhood" are just plan tacky and it's disgusting that bloomberg allowed this kind of thing to happen to nyc.

Trump Soho is a disaster, I feel sorry for the suckers who fell for the mini skirted sales people pitches and bought. They should have stayed at Scores and the $500 bottles of $2 champagne

it might be cheaper to live in a decent hotel, figure you can get a nice room at a discounted rate of 150 day ~ 4500 a month, maid service and everything, rather than rent a "luxury" apartment

i'll bet that most of the alleged 55% of buyers at Trump Soho are walking away from their deposits and not closing on their bad investment condotel. Trump is not someone to do business with! ask the Trump Baja buyers!

Donald Trump should be in jail for defrauding so many.

Yeah, Trump is too shakey to do business with. ask anyone in Atlantic City. He has not paid so many of his debts to AC businesses.
