Molly Shannon sells Chelsea condo for $2.6M

Former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Molly Shannon sold her 1,836-square-foot condominium in the Porter House for $2.61 million, $1 million more than she paid for it six years ago. The comedy actress closed on the sale of the three-bedroom condo at 66 Ninth Avenue between 14th and 15th streets Aug. 19, according to property records published today. The buyer was identified as MIC Sales, with an address in Miami, Fla., the records said. Shannon bought the unit in November 2003 for $1.6 million. The unit was listed for $2.85 million by Brown Harris Stevens, according to Streeteasy.com.

Reminds me of...me, actually. Made a cool profit of nearly $1.5, but that was before the market tanked. Ah, those were the GREAT old days. Except, they may be making a comeback, especially if people buy low (now) and wait until things turn around (sooner than you think!).

seems like a good deal for seller. I think prices still have more to do on the downside before making a comeback.
